Been a little busy lately, over the next week I'm going to try to get some work up here, I'm heading to London on Wednesday to check out the museums and galleries.
here is a charcoal sketch I've been playing around with trying to figure out the medium a little better. Another tired looking Self Portrait, cause I'm a cheap model. I'm also playing around with some monochromatic watercolor paintings that I'll try to post later in the week.

This is fantastic.
From an artists' standpoint (one who uses charcoal for most of her drawings) I would suggest using a soft, lotion based tissue to soften up the shirt. It will give it a more natural look.
well done.
Thanks Katie for the advice on this. this was a charcoal experiment cause I hadn't touched the stuff since 'gulp' 1996 when i was in college and that was only for quick poses. I don't know much about tissues, but would a lotion based one get all goey?? Cheers!
Wonderful works, like this especially
Do you people have a facebook fan page? I looked for one on twitter but could not discover one, I would really like to become a fan!
