Just got done watching your dvd, and it was really good. The HD really picked up the charcoal strokes and the texture of the paper, which was very helpful and informative. I had been wondering how you got such nice texture into your drawings; great technique.
I was curious, if you were to do a tradational style drawing(charcoal on white paper) would you still use the Pan pastel, because I tried it myself, and it goes on very dark and not evenly, making it harder to control than laying down some soft charcoal and blending. Or does the dark pan pastel lend itself better to a mid valued paper?

Hi David. Loved your video. I've watched it twice so far, and I love the way you throw everything into your drawing. I tend to think a charcoal drawing should just have charcoal. Don't know where we get those ideas.
